Xiaomi has opened a new PopUp store in Plaza de Callao in Madrid to bring users the latest news regarding the new series of Xiaomi 14 smartphones, which can be visited from March 1 to 4 and which also includes to learn regarding the innovations of its HyperOS operating system and its wearables. In an initiative that seeks to reaffirm the brand’s commitment to the Spanish market, the company has shared its intention to position itself not only as an electronic device brand, but as a firm that seeks to “transform and improve everyday life through technology”. In this framework, Xiaomi has inaugurated a PopUp store, with which it aims to bring users the latest devices presented, such as the Xiaomi 14 flagship smartphone series, the Xiaomi Watch S2 and S3 smart watches, and the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro. This ephemeral space, which can be visited from this Friday until next Monday, March 4, has an area of 120 square meters located in Madrid’s Callao square, where Xiaomi has not only made available of users of its new flagships, but it has also included experiences related to its self-developed operating system HyperOS and with the photography company Leica, integrated into the lenses of its high-end smartphones. Thus, the brand wanted to offer an “immersive experience”, representing the “modern lifestyle” that Xiaomi reflects with its devices, as detailed. In the main area of the PopUp store, you can see a central island where its new Xiaomi 14 series ‘smartphones’ are displayed, with the standard model and the Ultra, so that users can explore and experience its functions, as well as the quality of the devices and their feel in hand. Along with Xiaomi’s new top-of-the-range smartphones, its Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro tablet has also been on display, in which you can see its 12.4-inch screen, designed to “satisfy the most intense productivity needs.” Likewise, a space called the Xiaomi Ultra Museum is also offered, which shows how the evolution has been from the first range of Ultra devices to the new Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Specifically, the Mi 11 Ultra models are on display, which was launched in 2021; the Xiaomi 12S Ultra of the year 2022; the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, presented last year; and, finally, the new Xiaomi 14 Ultra. With this, the company aims to show users how the technology used in each new model has evolved over the years. For example, the Mi 11 Ultra started by implementing a 50MP triple camera and, with the latest innovations, the camera has evolved to have four sensors, one of them with a size of one inch, in the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. In addition to all this, a Xiaomi Series 14 Photocall area has also been organized, designed for those users interested in “capturing unique memories”, as the company has clarified. Specifically, this area offers a visual experience in which it simulates being under a rain of light that plays with reflections. In this way, it is possible to create a striking setting designed for taking photographs. The fourth area of the PopUp store is the Xiaomi Lifestyle Boutique area. An area in which users are invited to explore a wide range of products that combine innovation, functionality and creativity to “reinvent everyday life”, as Xiaomi has clarified. Specifically, this section shows the Xiaomi Watch S3 and Xiaomi Watch 2 smart watches, the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 and the Redmi Buds 5 Pro wireless headphones, among other wearables. Likewise, within this corner, part of the collaboration with designer Pablo Erroz is also exhibited, who has created new straps for the Xiaomi Band 8 Pro smart bracelet. Xiaomi ends its PopUp experience with the Xiaomi HyperOS space, an area in in which attendees can learn regarding the main characteristics of the operating system developed by the technology company. All this, through dynamic screens that show some ‘widgets’ and Artificial Intelligence (AI). “At Xiaomi we are very proud to present a new differentiating project to be close to our customers and fans,” said the Retail Director of Xiaomi Spain, Ana Casas, in relation to the new PopUp space. Following this line, he stressed that for the company this 2024 “is a key year” to continue positioning itself as “a premium, iconic and aspirational brand, always hand in hand with the best technology and the most powerful innovation on the market.” Xiaomi presented its new series of Xiaomi 14 smartphones last Sunday, one day before kicking off the Mobile World Congress technology event, which was held this week in Barcelona. Specifically, this new series comes equipped with Leica Summilux optical lenses. In addition, it has been designed for a next-generation optical system, which offers “unparalleled” photographic capabilities, according to the brand. Above all, the Ultra model stands out, in addition to its photographic capabilities, for its performance powered by the Snapdragon Gen 3 chip, the mobile experience it offers and its innovative design, with a 6.67-inch AMOLED Liquid Display.
