- Xiaomi introduced the new Band 9 Pro bracelet
- It has the same large display as the previous generation, but it is brighter and with thinner bezels
- The bracelet also invites more accurate health measurements and professional monitoring of selected sports
Yesterday, the Xiaomi brand not only presented the new flagship smartphones of the Xiaomi 15 series, but also a number of other products. Among them is the Xiaomi Band 9 Pro, i.e. a new generation of fitness bracelet, which, thanks to its larger display, is closer to a smart watch, after all, it shares the HyperOS operating system with them.
Xiaomi Band 9 Pro: the same display in a smaller body
In terms of design, the new bracelet brings only cosmetic changes. While in the previous intergenerational leap the display was enlarged, this time the manufacturer used the same large 1.74″ screen with a resolution of 336 × 480 pixels. The panel is slightly curved on the sides and boasts a significantly higher maximum brightness of 1,200 nits. Although the diagonal of the display has not changed, the bracelet is overall smaller – thanks to a modified aluminum case with thinner frames.
On the wrist of the bracelet we find a constellation of health sensors, which, thanks to improved algorithms, should offer more accurate measurements of heart rate, sleep and stress. In addition, the bracelet can also measure blood oxygenation and women’s health. The measurement of sports activities is also a matter of course. Xiaomi offers support for more than 150 sports modes, including running and swimming modes for professionals. They can rely on both a more accurate GNSS positioning system (including a compass function) and 5 ATM water resistance.
Contactless payment and car unlocking
The bracelet runs the HyperOS 2 operating system, which offers a wide range of watch faces (more than 100), support for notifications, a voice assistant and several exclusive functions, such as the ability to unlock cars through an NFC chip. It can also be used for contactless payment. Connectivity with a smartphone is provided by Bluetooth 5.4.
The energy of the bracelet is supplied by a battery with a capacity of 350 mAh, thanks to which the Band 9 Pro can last up to 21 days on a single charge, or 10 days using the Always-on display function.
Price and availability
Xiaomi Band 9 Pro will go on sale in three color variants – black, silver and pink, and the appearance can be made special with an abundance of bracelets of different colors and materials. With a rubber strap, the bracelet will cost CNY 399 (about 1,600 crowns with VAT), with a leather one at CNY 449 (about 1,800 crowns with VAT). Xiaomi Band 9 Pro is already on sale in China, the global variant should arrive before the end of this year.

Written by Jakub Karásek
Oh, Look! A New Gadget!
Xiaomi has unveiled their latest marvel, the Xiaomi Band 9 Pro. Now, you might be thinking, “Do I really need this? I still struggle with wearing my watch the right way around.” But fear not! This is more than just a time-telling device; it’s a fitness bracelet that makes you look like you’ve just walked off a futuristic fitness show!
- Xiaomi introduced the new Band 9 Pro bracelet
- It has the same large display as the previous generation, but it is brighter and with thinner bezels
- The bracelet also invites more accurate health measurements and professional monitoring of selected sports
Design: Same, but Different?
If you’re expecting the Band 9 Pro to look like something out of a sci-fi movie, you might be slightly disappointed. The design is mostly cosmetic. The screen remains 1.74”, but now with a show-off level maximum brightness of 1,200 nits. That’s brighter than my future, and perhaps your Spotify night playlist too! The new aluminum case keeps it sleek—essentially, it’s like going on a diet without losing any of your favorite snacks.
Putting the ‘Fit’ in Fitness Tracker
Now, let’s talk health. This bracelet doesn’t just count your steps; it’ll monitor your heart rate, sleep, and even stress levels! Because who doesn’t want a little gadget pointing out how stressed you are while you argue with your Wi-Fi? With over 150 sports modes, including professional running and swimming, it’s basically your personal trainer that won’t yell at you for finishing a donut!
Techy Stuff: Payment and All That Jazz
The Band 9 Pro runs on HyperOS 2, which sounds cooler than it probably is. The bracelet supports over 100 watch faces, notifications, and even lets you unlock your car! Talk about being fancy—your car is now just a few taps away, and suddenly everyone thinks you’re some kind of tech wizard. Plus, with Bluetooth 5.4, you’ll be able to connect to nearly everything—except, perhaps, that part of your life you keep trying to avoid.
Battery Life: Go, Go, Go!
Worried about battery life? Don’t be! With a 350 mAh battery, you’ll be rocking the Band 9 Pro for up to 21 days on a single charge. Yes, that’s longer than some of my relationships. But trust me, the Always-On display will tire it out a bit quicker—about 10 days. Nonetheless, that’s more than enough time to misplace it and wonder where you left it at the gym.
Price Tag and Availability
Now let’s talk money. The Xiaomi Band 9 Pro comes in various colors—black, silver, and pink—because who said fitness can’t be fashionable? The price starts at CNY 399 (around 1,600 crowns with VAT) and climbs to CNY 449 (about 1,800 crowns with VAT) for a leather strap. That’s a price point that makes it feel like a steal—almost like getting an apple for the price of a mobile for your kids (just kidding, don’t actually try that!).
Final Thoughts: To Buy or Not to Buy?
So, if you’re contemplating whether this gadget is worth your hard-earned cash, remember: it’s not just about counting calories and steps—it’s a massive step towards becoming the ultimate gadget aficionado. Whether you’re a fitness fanatic or just someone who wants an excuse to slap on something that looks trendy, the Xiaomi Band 9 Pro might just be what you need! At the very least, it’ll ensure you make a great impression at social gatherings—after all, who wouldn’t want to brag about the latest tech on their wrist?
But please, for the sake of humanity, don’t pull the “Oops! I forgot to charge my bracelet!” card when your body says it’s time for a workout. We all know how that ends… with just a little too much pizza.

Although the display size remains unchanged, the overall construction of the bracelet is more compact—achieved through a redesigned aluminum case with reduced bezel thickness.
On the wrist of the Band 9 Pro resides an advanced array of health sensors, now equipped with enhanced algorithms intended to provide even more precise heart rate, sleep quality, and stress level measurements. Furthermore, it facilitates blood oxygen monitoring and specific tracking for women’s health. In terms of fitness, the Band 9 Pro supports over 150 distinct sports modes, including specialized categories for both runners and swimmers. Sporting enthusiasts can benefit from improved GNSS positioning accuracy, including a built-in compass, alongside an impressive 5 ATM water resistance rating.
Contactless payment and car unlocking

Additionally, it facilitates seamless contactless payments. Smartphone compatibility is ensured through the latest Bluetooth 5.4 technology.
The Band 9 Pro draws its energy from a robust 350 mAh battery, enabling users to enjoy an impressive 21 days of usage on a single charge, or maintain around 10 days of performance while utilizing the Always-on display feature.

The Xiaomi Band 9 Pro will be available in three striking color options—black, silver, and pink—and can be personalized with a myriad of straps crafted from various materials and colors. Priced at CNY 399 (approximately 1,600 crowns with VAT) with a rubber strap, and CNY 449 (about 1,800 crowns with VAT) for a leather strap, this device delivers exceptional value.
