  • Xiaomi has unveiled the anticipated update schedule for HyperOS 2 targeting the global market
  • The rollout for initial devices is set to begin in November
  • Older models, including various tablets, will be updated in December

Xiaomi has officially announced its update schedule for HyperOS 2, much to the relief of its global user base. While there were earlier rumors suggesting a postponement until 2025, users can rest easy knowing that the first devices will begin receiving the new operating system within this month.

Leading the charge will be the cutting-edge Xiaomi 14T series, with the HyperOS 2 update starting in November for these flagship devices. Not to be left behind, the highly anticipated Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra models, along with the last year’s Xiaomi 13T Pro, will also receive the update during this initial wave. This rollout will further extend to the entire range of new Redmi Note 13 smartphones and selected models from the POCO lineup, specifically X6, X6 Pro, F6 Pro, and M6 Pro. Excitingly, even the innovative foldable Mix Flip is set to receive the update soon.

The December rollout promises to be even more extensive, focusing largely on the earlier models. Key devices like the fundamental Xiaomi 13T and the POCO F6 and M6 will be included. Users will see updates for a complete line of older generations including Xiaomi 13, 12, and even 11, as well as 12T models. The Redmi series will also benefit from this, with updates slated for both the 13 and 12 models (4G and 5G variants), along with the still-popular Redmi Note 12 series. Affordable options such as the POCO C65 and Redmi 13C are also on the list for updates.

In addition, HyperOS 2 will extend its reach to various devices across the Xiaomi ecosystem. The impressive Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 tablet and the Smart Band 9 Pro fitness bracelet are set for an update as early as November. Following closely, in December, the Xiaomi Pad 6, POCO Pad, and models from the Redmi Pad series, excluding the very first Redmi Pad equipped with Snapdragon 680, will join in on the upgrades.

Interestingly, it’s noted that some relatively recent models, such as the POCO X4 Pro and the base F4, have been excluded from this rollout list. In a notable aspect of support, users of Xiaomi’s flagship devices will enjoy continued assistance dating back to the launch of the Mi 11 and Mi 11 Ultra models in 2020.
