Kupang (ANTARA) – Xiaomi officially revealed its newest flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 15 which is equipped with chipset The latest from Qualcomm, namely Snapdragon 8 Elite and a large 5400 mAh battery.

Refer to the information from the site website Xiaomi China quoted Wednesday, Xiaomi 15 comes with two RAM memory options, namely 12GB and 16GB, while the internal memory offered consists of three variants, namely 256GB, 512GB and 1TB.

This could be said to be an improvement because in the previous generation, namely the Xiaomi 14, there was only one RAM option, namely 8GB.

In terms of power, the Xiaomi 15 also adapts to market demands by increasing the battery capacity to 5400 mAh, a big increase from the previous generation which only had 4,610 mAh.

Even so, the Xiaomi 15 still maintains a 6.36 inch screen size which is relatively small compared to other Android phones and interestingly there is no big difference in weight even though the Xiaomi 15 is three grams heavier than the previous generation.

Discussing its main advantage, namely the camera, Xiaomi made several changes which provide actual improvements even though once again Xiaomi brought a triple 50 MP camera configuration on the back.

The improvements are brought about through new sensors, namely for the main camera using a Fusion 900 light sensor from Omnivision.

A 1/1.31” sensor with 1.2μm pixels with a 23mm lens has aperture bright f/1.62. With that camera, Xiaomi promises that zoom lossless 5x (120mm) is possible with this camera.

There’s also a telephoto lens with a focal length of 60mm but the camera maintains its ability to take macro shots at just 10cm (4in).

Lastly there is the camera ultrawide with a 115 degree (14mm) lens with f/2.2. There is one improvement on the Xiaomi 15 from the video side, namely that this device is capable of recording 8k video at 30fps, not just 24fps. Additionally, all cameras are capable of capturing HDR Dolby Vision footage.

For connectivity support, Xiaomi has embedded a USB-C 3.2 port which also supports 90W fast charging and there is also 50W fast wireless charging.
