Xi calls for managing and using the legacy of the Olympic Games well

El presidente chino, Xi Jinping, instó hoy viernes a hacer esfuerzos para gestionar y utilizar de buen modo el legado de los Juegos Olímpicos de Invierno de Beijing y los Juegos Paralímpicos de Invierno de Beijing.

“China’s economic, technological and comprehensive strength laid a solid foundation for the success of the Olympic Games,” Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Friday.

During a meeting organized to pay tribute to the people who made outstanding contributions to the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, the President stressed the need to appreciate and carry forward the abundant intellectual wealth and valuable experience garnered in the extraordinary process of seven years of preparation and celebration of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Chinese President explained that, despite the fact that the preparation for the Olympic Games “was complicated and systematic”, China had the capacity to gather all the resources and meet the objective, notes Xinhua.

He also added that with the joint work of the Central Committee of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, it was possible to establish “a leading group to coordinate all the forces at the national level and promote the preparatory work.”

“As long as we firmly uphold the leadership of the Party, we will be sure to overcome all difficulties and obstacles we encounter and ensure the success of our future work,” Xi stressed, the note added.

China was able to identify, Xi said, and solve problems in all fields in a timely manner, thus ensuring the safe and smooth running of the Olympic Games.

As for the combination of preparing for the games and meeting the needs of the people, the Chinese president said that the games “helped promote physical exercise at the national level in the country, advance the fight once morest poverty and improve public services.

“People can enjoy better physical and mental health, a better job and a better life,” he said.
