As communicated by the player and the club on social networks, Xherdan Shaqiri is now training at Cornaredo. While the Chicago Fire failed to reach the play-offs, their Major Soccer League season came to an end. In order to stay in shape for the next Nati gatherings as part of the qualifications for Euro 2024, the Swiss striker will take part in the Ticino club’s training sessions.
The Swiss international had already been invited to train with FC Lugano in October 2022 in order to prepare for the World Cup. The Swiss selection will soon gather to face Israel (November 15), Kosovo (November 18) and Bulgaria (November 21).
