Still scheduled for next September, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is for the moment very discreet. While we only know the main lines of this new title for the moment, Nintendo has just shared, probably by mistake, a breathtaking visual bringing together the six protagonists of this third opus.

A new opus still mysterious

For the time being, we have to be satisfied with little concerning Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Nintendo is taking its time and has so far provided us with very little information, despite an enticing trailer. In this new story supposed to connect the futures of Xenoblade Chronicles et Xenoblade Chronicles 2, the conflict between the nations of Keves and Agnus rages on. The story revolves around two main protagonists representing both sides: Noah on one side and Mio on the other.

Each of these protagonists are accompanied by two acolytes. Lanz and Eunie are Noah’s allies while Sena and Taion accompany Mio. We do not know exactly how these different protagonists are brought to meet but it seems clear that their destinies are linked, as the new visual shared, a priori by mistake, by Nintendo suggests.

Behind the hope of the fans, a mistake of Nintendo

Very similar to the first poster of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 shared by Big N, this new artwork features the six protagonists gathered side by side in a bucolic setting reminiscent of the visuals of the two previous opuses. If this artwork is particularly successful, its publication seems rather premature on the part of the Japanese giant which is working to masterfully control its communication.

Thus, this visual would have been published by mistake on the American site of Nintendo. It has since been removed and is not available on the US site, nor on the French site. A small “blunder” which should not cost the firm very dearly, and which on the contrary will have allowed the most impatient fans to treat themselves to a light amuse-bouche.
