Xuzhou, China (ots/PRNewswire) – XCMG’s (SHE:000425; “XCMG”) Hanyun platform has recently passed a major assessment by international authoritative institutions and successfully obtained a certificate for Integration Level 5 of the Capability Maturity Model (“CMMI5”).
The CMMI is jointly developed by the US Department of Defense, Carnegie Mellon University and the National Defense Industry Association. As one of the most respected certifications in the global software industry, a CMMI certification is an important indicator to measure the technical development capability of software companies.
The international CMMI certification system is divided into five levels: beginning (level 1), managed (level 2), defined (level 3), quantitatively managed (level 4) and optimizing (level 5). The higher the level, the more mature the capability of the enterprise software. CMMI5 is the highest level recognized as the “ceiling” for certification of software development capability in this field.
The XCMG Hanyun platform had already passed the CMMI3 certification in 2017, thus achieving the comprehensive integration of technological R&D and quality management with international standards. This time the certification is valid for eight months. According to the CMMI5 model standard, the assessment team conducted a comprehensive assessment of the applicable skill areas and practice areas of the Hanyun platform through staff interviews, on-site demonstrations and document review.
After some deliberation, the team agreed that the XCMG Hanyun Platform fully meets the objectives and practical requirements of the CMMI5 standard in terms of R&D capabilities, process organization capability and quality management level. The successful completion of the CMMI5 certification is another major breakthrough for the XCMG Hanyun Platform after being selected for the Gartner Magic Quadrant. Recognition from international authoritative institutions means that XCMG Hanyun Platform has reached the international benchmark in terms of software maturity, R&D capability, service delivery and project management.
