Xbox, very disappointing figures finally revealed

On the Daily program for August 16, we start with the long-awaited arrival of the Dragon Ball license on Fortnite. We continue with a confession from Microsoft on sales of the Xbox One, before ending on Disney + and the broadcast of the last arc of Bleach. The Daily, let’s go!

Xbox One admits defeat to PS4

The rivalry between Xbox and Playstation is not new. If we already knew that Playstation had won the sales battle for the previous generation of consoles, Microsoft had never revealed the figures for the Xbox One. With Microsoft currently in the midst of a takeover of Activision Blizzard, the two console makers have embarked on a new claims battle. It was in the midst of these announcements that Microsoft confessed that Sony sold twice as many consoles as Xbox over the last generation. In other words, according to the latest figures, the PS4 has sold 117 million copies, which means that the Xbox One has only sold around 58.5 million copies. It is true that the Xbox One suffered a few mishaps when it was released, which did not help its sales. Luckily for Microsoft, the Xbox Series is here to make up for it all, and is proving to be the manufacturer’s fastest-selling console in its history. In addition to this, Microsoft can rely on its Xbox Game Pass which has already attracted 25 million players, and the takeover of Activision Blizzard will further boost its sales. On the other hand, the famous Call of Duty franchise will not be an Xbox exclusive.

Dragon Ball is coming to Fortnite!

The collaboration between Epic Games’ Battle Royale and Akira Toriyama’s legendary manga is finally here! Four Dragon Ball heroes arrive on the Fortnite map: Goku, Vegeta, Beerus and Bulma. Through their different skins, the characters will be able to transform, like Goku into Super Saiyan and Ultra Instinct. The content of this collaboration is very rich, with accessories, gliders, and activities. It is possible to complete quests to obtain rewards, such as a Dragon Ball. The Magic Cloud and the Kaméhaméha will also be usable in game. It will even be possible to quietly watch a selection of episodes of Dragon Ball Super. The special Dragon Ball card will also appear in the game on August 19.

Direction Disney + for the sequel to Bleach?

Bleach is one of the most popular manga of recent years, alongside One Piece and Naruto. In order to save his family, Ichigo Kurosaki must become a Shinigami, a warrior responsible for ensuring the passage of the deceased to the other world. If Tite Kubo’s 74-volume manga ended a few years ago, its anime adaptation was put on hold for quite a while. It will resume soon and we will witness the Thousand Year Bloody War. The anime Expo had unveiled a very promising beautiful trailer. While we expected to discover the final arc on Crunchyroll, with the rest of the seasons, we are now hearing more and more rumors saying that Disney + has recovered the broadcasting rights to the anime. The principle of the simulcast would then seem compromised, and it might also be that the platform decides to wait for the end of the Japanese broadcast to put all the episodes online. The other fear for Bleach fans is the issue of censorship, which the anime has fallen victim to in the past. It remains to be seen whether these rumors will turn into an official announcement by October, when Bleach is expected to air.
