In the meantime, users of the Xbox Series X/S have been able to run games faster. This is because the console boot animation is cut in half.

Xbox Integration Marketing Director Josh Munsi tweeted on the 24th that the boot animation for the Xbox Series X/S will be reduced from 9 seconds to 4 seconds. This remark is also an answer to a question from an Xbox Insider user, “The boot animation has been greatly reduced, does it actually apply?” He also said that Xbox general product manager Harrison Hoffman and senior product manager Jake Rosenberg worked on the work together.

The Xbox Series X/S boot animation is regarding 9 seconds long, as described above. It doesn’t seem like a long time, but considering that its competitor PS5 takes regarding 5-6 seconds, it’s a bit long. The previous generation console, Xbox One X, was similar at regarding 9 seconds, but compared to the Series X/S, it boasted a more colorful animation composition. In fact, there were evaluations that the boot animation of the current Xbox Series X/S is rather boring compared to the magnificent sound.

There is no word yet as to when the shortened boot animation will be implemented.
