Xbox: March update allows pinning games to Quick Resume

Through an update on their Xbox Wire site, Xbox announced this Friday the new aggregates that will arrive on their consoles during this month of March.

Among the most notable new features are fixing games with Quick Resume, reassignment of the Share Button and a new audio configuration wizard for HDMI.

Quick Resume now allows pinning 2 specific games

One of the busiest features that the new generation Xbox Series X|S consoles have is their Quick Resumewhich by taking advantage of the Xbox Velocity Architecture allows you to resume a game exactly where you left off, without having to load the new/save data again.

Now allows you to pin up to two Quick Resume games to your Xbox Series X|S console, while they will only disappear from the QR if you manually remove them or require a mandatory update.

If the game is compatible, selecting it will allow you to go to the Menu and choose Pin to Quick Resume. If you already have two games pinned, you will be asked which one you want to replace.

Xbox controller share button remap

With the new generation, the Xbox buttons were also updated, adding a share button. With it, you can quickly take photos or record a video clip if you press it for more than 2 seconds.

With the new update, you will be able to remap the button to another function in the Xbox Accessories app. You can change it to mute the television, open the friends list, open achievements, among others. Also included are options to easily enable assistive technologies for players with disabilities.

Note that Elite Series 2 Controllers, Xbox Adaptive Controller and other devices also have some new actions.

Xbox device firmware updates

The new update also brings a new firmware of the Xbox Controller device, being able to update it on PC or console. It includes fixes and updates that provide performance improvements for Xbox One Controllers with Bluetooth support, Xbox Elite Series 2 Wireless Controllers, and Xbox Adaptive Controllers.

New audio setup wizard

Finally, a new guided audio setup wizard has been added for HDMI devices, perfect for TVs that have different types of audio. This is located in General > Volume and audio output > Audio settings.

The wizard allows you to test and verify the audio format over HMDI, as well as test all the speakers connected to the X|S and One Series, being able to tune and adjust everything for a unique A/V setup.

It also allows configuration in 7.1 and Dual Digital, as well as Dolby Atoms and DTS: X for Home Theater.
