Microsoft’s game console brand, Xbox, has announced the official support of the Discord channel for the first time in a game console.

Multiple foreign media outlets such as Ars Technica and The Verge reported that Microsoft and Discord are adding the Discord voice chat function to the Xbox.

The Discord voice chat feature, which allows users to use Discord voice chat together with the Xbox, is accessible as a beta version and preview console OS update through the ‘Xbox Insider’ tier.

If you want to use the Discord voice chat feature, you must first download the Xbox mobile app. You will also need to link your Xbox and Discord accounts. If you have linked two accounts in the past, you will need to go through the account link process one more time to support the voice chat feature.

All you have to do is start a Discord conversation, hit the ‘transfer to Xbox’ button, and select your Xbox console in the Xbox mobile app.

Also, using the QR code on the Xbox mobile app, Discord voice conversations can be converted to the desktop version of Discord.

“You can see who’s talking and who’s in the conversation while running the game on the console,” said Eric Voreis, Xbox Program Manager. You can also change the sound and switch between Discord Voice and Xbox game chat.”

However, Ars Technica, an American online tech media, explained that although the distribution of support for the Discord function through Xbox has begun, the available functions are still limited. In particular, he said that when using a game console to control various functions, such as adding and deleting friends, in addition to the sex chat function, it is necessary to use a smartphone.

However, he mentioned that if you use the headphones together and run the voice chat function, you will enjoy a great gaming experience. The balance between game audio and chat audio is great, as you can change the volume level separately.
