The Xbox Game Pass will be able to count on another major game, this time in the very specific genre of the Japanese RPG. The latter takes the opportunity to reveal its release date on all platforms as well as a snippet of gameplay.
Eiyuden Chronicle Rising in Game Pass
Fans of more or less old-school J-RPGs were certainly not thrilled to learn last year that Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes was postponed to 2023: fortunately, as a treat, Rabbit & Bear Studios had announced a spin-off by the name of Eiyuden Chronicle Rising. Backed by a strong partnership with Microsoft, it will be included directly in the Xbox Game Pass.
505 Games, which deals with the edition of the game, has therefore confirmed the coming of the title on the market on May 10 and although it is included in the famous Microsoft catalog, it is still a cross-platform game: it will therefore be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series. That way there will be something for everyone.
After Suikoden
Suikoden is perhaps a saga that will speak to more than one person : launched in 1995 on PlayStation, this title developed by Konami caused a sensation for its advanced military concept where you took the lead of dozens and dozens of characters. Five main episodes will have emerged and as many spin-offs, until 2009.
In many ways, the Eiyuden franchise is considered its spiritual successor. It must be said that the episode Rising discussed today acts as a prequel to Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroesexpected for 2023 therefore and entrusted to Yoshitaka Murayama, screenwriter of Suikoden first of the name and Suikoden II. Junko Kawano, who had previously worked on Suikoden et Suikoden IVwill take care of the character design while Osamu Komuta (Suikoden zodiac et Suikoden Tactics) will be at design time.
History of showing off, 505 Games is therefore broadcasting a gameplay extract from this Eiyuden Chronicle Risingillustrating a boss fight (to be found in our video player above). The opportunity to take a look at the sparkling artistic direction and the playability, rather nervous.
See you on May 10 on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
