Xbox Game Pass already accounts for 15% of Microsoft’s gaming division’s revenue

Microsoft’s Game Pass serviceAllow subscribers to play all the game content in the collection, successfully attracting many players.Phil Spencer, director of Microsoft’s game division, added in the Wall Street Journal’s Tech Live It was revealed at the conference that Game Pass revenue already accounts for as much as 15% of overall Xbox content and services revenue, but Spencer doesn’t expect that to grow any more.

Spencer mentioned that Microsoft published last week’s 2023 Q1 financial reportin, showing PC Game Pass With a massive 159% year-over-year growth, console subscription growth has slowed, and it has also seen an increase in usage of the Xbox Cloud Gaming cloud gaming platform.Microsoft believes that mobile devices will be another major Game Pass development future, so in the long run, Xbox will focus on developing the gaming experience on Android and iOS, including porting Xbox Storeto the relevant platform.

Many streaming services are increasing their prices one after another, and Game Pass seems to be following suit, and it also predicts that both consoles and services will increase prices. However, Spencer said they hope it won’t happen during this year’s long holiday, so friends who want to start should be early.
