Xbox dominates industry with major IPs

This Friday, October 13th, Microsoft confirmed the acquisition of Activision Blizzard, a purchase that considerably strengthens the Xbox catalog and will soon see several important IPs reach Game Pass. With this, the company now has prominent IPs in practically all genres on the market.

Xbox dominates the market with major IPs

With established IPs, such as Forza Horizon, Halo, Gears of War and Age of Empires, Microsoft already had a variety of titles that appeal to different audiences. With the acquisition of ZeniMax, this was further strengthened, and now, with the purchase of Activision Blizzard, Microsoft owns many extremely important franchises.

Now, the company has many of the biggest IPs in the history of the industry in its portfolio, being able to offer adventures in different genres. For example, in the first-person shooter genre, which is very popular among most gamers, Microsoft has franchises such as Doom, Halo and Call of Duty, the latter being the largest in the genre.

For RPG fans, Microsoft can offer titles from franchises such as The Elder Scrolls and Fallout, two of the most important sagas of the genre, as well as Diablo, which is the big highlight for action RPG players. In real-time strategy (RTS), Microsoft has StarCraft and Age of Empires in its hands. If we talk about racing, the company offers different proposals with Forza MotorSport and Forza Horizon.
