After a highly noticed absence during the Game Awards 2022Xbox players are getting impatient and are eagerly awaiting a new speech to learn more regarding the titles to come at the start of 2023. For days, rumors around a new presentation format are intensifying and Jez Corden comes today to deliver full details on what to expect.
Redfall, Minecraft Legends and Forza Motorsport on the agenda?
Of course, this salvo of information should be taken with a grain of salt, but the well-informed journalist from Windows Central has repeatedly proven its reliability in the role of “insider”.
He thus reveals that according to his sources, an “Xbox Developer_Direct” should take place on January 25 at 9:00 p.m. (French time). The event would obviously be broadcast on both official Xbox channels via Youtube and Twitch.
We shouldn’t expect a big E3-level showcase, but rather a format to highlight the titles to come very soon. This new initiative would thus make it possible to mark additional communication time, in addition to the usual E3 and Game Awards.
This first edition would thus put Bethesda and Xbox in the spotlight, the opportunity to learn more regarding Redfall, Minecraft Legends, Forza Motorsport, but also content from ZeniMax Online Studios.
Note of course the absence of the mention of a certain Starfield, which would skip this communication time to be presented another time. Let’s at least hope that the release dates of the games mentioned above will be revealed.
If this rumor is verified during the announcement expected for this week, it would be particularly interesting to note that Xbox is moving towards more regular speeches as Sony does with the State of Play or Nintendo with its Nintendo Direct. In June 2021, Xboxygen published an editorial for invite Xbox to be inspired by PlayStation on the subject.
