Microsoft has now introduced the april update for Xbox consoles, which is ready to be released ” Soon “ (probably later today). Unlike the last updates we got, this is a smaller one with two new features.
The first is called Refreshed Xbox Search Experience, which means you have a much better search tool at your disposal now. This includes ” a sleek new look, gallery-style results, browsable visible filter categories with RB/LB, option to ‘search YouTube’ in the Movies & TV tab, and more ».
The second novelty is Adjusting the active hours power for your Xbox console. This makes it easier to use previously released carbon-sensitive updates, as you can “Now adjust active hours so the console is ready to wake up when you’re likely to use it and turn it off at times you choose to save power.” Outside of times when you know you are going to sleep or at school/work, the Xbox “Will turn off completely and consume 0.5 watts compared to 10-15 watts when active.” A smart way to save money and the environment.
