Tragedy in Xanthi, in a paragliding flight, which claimed the life of a 33-year-old man. He was an instructor, highly experienced in this type of flight and the father of a small child, only two years old. The circumstances of the accident are under investigation. Everything happened on the evening of Wednesday, August 21, 2024, in Mandra of the Municipality of Abdira in Xanthi, with the news quickly reaching Mytilini, where the victim was particularly well-known and loved.
The unfortunate man was in the area of Xanthi to pick up his wife and as he was an experienced pilot, he decided to make a short paragliding flight. However, under unclear circumstances, he lost control and fell from a great height, resulting in a tragic death.
