Will Shen, Starfield’s lead quest designer and a developer at Bethesda who has design and writing credits on The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Fallout 4, and Fallout 76, will leave the company to develop the new open source World RPG. He’s teaming up with veterans of the genre to create Wyrdsong via Something Wicked Games. Developers from Bethesda, Obsisian, and BioWare are all part of a team working on the game. We don’t know much regarding it yet, but it will be dark, supernatural, and made with Unreal Engine 5. Something Wicked Games doesn’t have a large staff, so don’t go looking for a trailer or anything like that anytime soon, but judging by the talent involved, it might be worth keeping an eye on Wyrdsong as it continues to develop.
