DIRECTOR of Immigration Traffic Felucia Sengky Ratna said that delegates from the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) began arriving in Indonesia on May 15 2024 or three days before the start of the World Water Forum.

“The arrival of delegations is estimated to start on D-3, namely May 15 2024, they will start arriving,” said Sengky as reported by BetweenSaturday (11/5).

He emphasized that the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia was ready to welcome the delegates. Immigration has prepared a special counter at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport to facilitate immigration services.

“For delegations at head of state or VVIP level, the clearance process will be carried out in the VVIP building area, while at ministerial or VIP level it will be carried out in the VIP building,” explained Sengky.

The 10th World Water Forum will be held in Bali on 18-25 May 2024. This year, the World Water Forum carries the theme Water for Shared Prosperity or Water for Shared Prosperity.

The Directorate General of Immigration is also responsible for registration, websites and information systems in its implementation, as stated in Presidential Decree Number 13 of 2024.

Furthermore, Ngurah Rai Immigration stated that they had made thorough preparations to welcome the arrival of the World Water Forum delegation.

Local immigration has prepared special arrangements in the form of providing mobile devices to facilitate immigration inspection services for delegations at the level of heads of state or ministers who are present.

“We have carried out mapping and placement of officers,” said Head of Immigration Ngurah Rai Suhendra in Denpasar, Bali, Saturday (4/5).

Ngurah Rai Immigration has also separated the arrival routes for delegations and regular passengers in the immigration area. There were three special counters prepared for World Water Forum delegates served by 12 officers.

“For regular passengers, we have prepared 30 autogate units and 10 inspection counters with 40 officers,” he added. (Z-6)
