WWE Wrestling: Sami Zayn defeated by Roman Reigns in front of a cheering crowd in Montreal

In an electrifying atmosphere at the Bell Center in Montreal, Sami Zayn was defeated by Roman Reigns in the fight for the undisputed WWE Universal Championship on Saturday night.

Zayn was carried throughout the match by the home crowd as well as his wife who was seated at ringside.

Zayn got life early in the clash, but Roman got the better of him and punished Zayn. He paraded a beaten Zayn in front of his own family.

Earlier in the fight, Jimmy Uso got in front of Roman to block his attack. Like at the Royal Rumble, Reigns said “it’s him or me” and gave the chair to Jey, who didn’t choose sides. When Reigns took over the chair, Zayn attempted a spear and missed it touching Jey. Reigns took the opportunity to attack with the chair and earn the victory on the count of three.

When the match ended, the crowd was left speechless. Roman told Jimmy to attack, but Kevin Owens came out to save him, much to the delight of the Montreal crowd. He cleared the ring, knocked everyone out, including Paul Heyman, and got out of the way so Sami could give a Helluva Kick in Reigns to end the show in front of a conquered crowd.
