– Tonight is WWE SmackDown, the blue show starts on a video about the Royal Rumble 2022. The commentators welcome us and Roman Reigns enters accompanied by Paul Heyman and the Usos. WWE reminds us that Brock Lesnar has chosen Roman Reigns (Universal champion) for WrestleMania 38. Paul Heyman introduces himself then says that he is Roman Reigns’ advisor. They are here tonight to acknowledge what happened. There was no plot, it wasn’t done to make Brock Lesnar look like an idiot even though he now looks like an idiot. On December 17, he admitted to having made his biggest mistake. What he recognized made him look like an idiot. He told the most dominant champion that he had to be protected from Brock Lesnar. He was fired and he received a deserved Superman Punch.
He knew his career was over, but he seized the opportunity. When Covid-19 hit the wrong person, he got Brock Lesnar into the Fatal 5-Way and he managed to win the title. And now, Lesnar launches the challenge of a Title vs Title. Paul Heyman says he ruined everything with Roman Reigns, he was with the farmer from Saskatchewan who wanted to send people to Suplex City. But Roman Reigns showed that a GOAT could kill the Stupid. Roman Reigns came to the Royal Rumble and he crushed Brock Lesnar. Heyman realized he didn’t have to protect Roman Reigns from Brock Lesnar, he had to protect Brock Lesnar from Roman Reigns!
Roman Reigns came to him and he offered him the hand of forgiveness, the hand of love, the hand of family… Now we have to recognize that there will be no Title vs Title or Champion vs. Champion. Brock Lesnar will do what Roman Reigns wants him to do: he will recognize THE champion in the person of Roman Reigns.
Goldberg’s music hits and he makes his way to the ring! Golberg takes a microphone and tells Roman Reigns that he recognizes him… as the next victim! Goldberg, Roman Reigns, Elimination Chamber, Universal title. Reigns is the Next !
Singles Match
Ridge Holland (accompanied by Sheamus) vs Ricochet (accompanied by Cesaro)
At the end of the match, Sheamus and Ricochet argue outside the ring. Meanwhile, Ricochet recoils Ridge Holland for the pinfall win.

Tag Team Match
Sheamus and Ridge Holland vs Ricochet and Cesaro
At the end of the match, Ridge Holland does his Northern Grit on Cesaro then continues with the fall for the victory.

– The Usos make their entrance, followed by the Viking Raiders. The two teams will face off at Elimination Chamber for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles.

Jimmy Uso (accompanied by Jey Uso) vs Erik (accompanied by Ivar)
At the end of the match, Jimmy Uso makes a Frog Splash on Erik for the fall victory.

At the end of the match, Aliyah sends Natalya against the barricade outside the ring and goes back to the ring. The referee counts to 10.

– Behind the scenes, Drew Gulak is briefly seen with Shotzi as Drew McIntyre walks.
– Drew McIntyre enters with his sword. We see again the attack of Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss on Day 1, then the return of McIntyre to the Royal Rumble. He says it feels good to be back. After Day 1, he was told by a doctor that he would not participate in the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania, but he went to rehab 3 times a day and he is back! The Royal Rumble didn’t go as planned, but it will come back to it later. He wants to focus on the idiots who tried to end his career.
Happy Corbin walks in and asks Drew McIntyre if it was worth it. McIntyre miraculously eliminated him. After all they did to his neck, was it worth it (precisely) to come back and risk his whole career to be thrown like a trash bag by Brock Lesnar? He failed, he won’t go to WrestleMania and that makes him happy! Madcap Moss comes up from behind, but Drew McIntyre stops him with his sword. He wants a joke! Madcap Moss plays a joke on him about Oklahoma, but McIntyre wants a joke on him.
Madcap Moss cracks a joke and Drew McIntyre starts laughing with Moss, but he Claymore Kicks him! McIntyre tells Corbin he’ll make his life hell every week and that’s just the start!
– A video about Sami Zayn at the premiere of Jackass Forever is released.
– Backstage, Sami Zayn is with Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville. He wants to know when he will have his match for the Intercontinental title. Deville responds next week, but Zayn is looking for a little more time after what he went through at the Jackass Forever premiere. Pearce proposes to him in two weeks and Zayn accepts. Natalya arrives and complains that she lost illegitimately. She wants a rematch next week with pinfall and submission only. Pearce and Deville accept.
– Sami Zayn joins the commentary table for the next game.

Shinsuke Nakamura (accompanied by Rick Boogs) vs Jinder Mahal (accompanied by Shanky)
At the end of the match, Shinsuke Nakamura does his Kinshasa on Jinder Mahal for the pinfall victory.

– WWE confirms Roman Reigns and Goldberg will meet for the Universal title at Elimination Chamber 2022.
– Backstage, Naomi joins Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville. She proposes a match against Sonya Deville in 5 minutes to end it. Deville replies that she has a meeting tonight, that’s not possible. Naomi proposes a match for next week. Deville replies that Naomi already has a match next week…against Charlotte Flair…and for the SmackDown Women’s Title. Adam Pearce confirms the match.
– A video about Goldberg’s career is shown.
– WWE announces that Drew McIntyre will face Madcap Moss at Elimination Chamber 2022.
– Behind the scenes, Kayla Braxton is with Natalya to tell us about next week’s Dungeon Match. Natalya says she will explain the match to Aliyah right away. She wants to enter a room but Xia Li walks out…

The New Day (Big E & Xavier Woods) vs Los Lotharios (Angel & Humberto Carrillo)
At the end of the match, Kofi Kingston passes the baton to Big E to make their Midnight Hour on Humberto Carrillo followed by the pinfall to win.

– Next week: Charlotte Flair will defend the SmackDown Women’s Title against Naomi. In 2 weeks: Shinsuke Nakamura will defend the Intercontinental title against Sami Zayn.
– Charlotte Flair enters. Sonya Deville announces that Becky Lynch told her that Ronda Rousey chose her for the WrestleMania Main Event and expects the contract to be signed. But for Charlotte Flair, she needs an opponent when she beats Naomi next week. Flair says she’s not surprised Ronda Rousey chose Becky Lynch, because Flair has been on top since 2015. What did Ronda Rousey do? Play video games ? Have a baby ? Charlotte Flair would have been worried if Ronda Rousey hadn’t chosen Becky Lynch. Mom against mom, it’s easier. It’s Charlotte Flair the Main Event of WrestleMania. If Rousey wants to choose the other champion, she can. As a result, Charlotte Flair chooses her opponent for WrestleMania 38: Sasha Banks!
Ronda Rousey’s music hits and she enters! She recalls that she won the Royal Rumble, she can choose who she will face in the Main Event of WrestleMania. She came here to kick ass and Charlotte Flair will be the first they see each other at WrestleMania! Rousey takes off her jacket and Sonya Deville steps between the two wrestlers. Deville tells Ronda Rousey that she’s running the show, not Rousey. The latter pushes Deville and wants to attack Charlotte Flair, who ends up leaving the ring.
Sonya Deville jumps on the back of Ronda Rousey, but the Royal Rumble winner gives her a submission hold! The show ends with Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair staring into each other’s eyes.
