WWE NXT 2.0 #54
Ort: WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, USA
Recording: September 14, 2022
First broadcast: September 20, 2022
Today’s episode starts with a look back at the past edition, the one year anniversary of NXT 2.0. Backstage, Solo Sikoa and Carmelo Hayes arrive at Shawn Michaels’ office. Michaels asks Solo Sikoa to hand over the NXT North American Championship to him. The fans would have voted for Wes Lee, which is why everyone else can’t just come out and compete for the title. Those are the rules, even if Michaels isn’t happy with them himself. However, Michaels wishes the newest member of the Bloodline every success on RAW, SmackDown or wherever his path may take him. Hayes now wants to take the title, but Michaels won’t let him. Hayes would have attempted to circumvent the system by taking out Wes Lee. He mightn’t just accept that. Michaels wants to keep the North American Championship with him for now. At NXT “Halloween Havoc” on October 22nd, five men will compete in a ladder match and the title will be reassigned. The qualification matches for this will already start today.
