WWE Monday Night Raw January 2, 2023: Coverage and results

USA Network will broadcast the episode number 1,545 of WWE Monday Night Raw live tonight from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN. The billboard has two bouts of interest, both headlines. Austin Theory y Bianca Belair will put the United States Championship and the Raw Women’s Title on the line once morest Seth Rollins y Alexa Bliss respectively.

Dexter takes the lead once more, but a new suplex from Chad ends Lumis at ringside. Otis tries to execute a clothesline, but Lumis dodges it and the Alpha Academy member hits the post. Back in the ring, Dexter and Gable try to get a quick count, with Dexter finally pinning his opponent during the referee’s 3 count.

Gable flees from his rival as soon as the bell rings. At ringside, Otis stands between him and his friend. Back in the ring, Dexter intercepts his opponent before launching a series of attacks. Chad recovers and uses the ropes once morest his rival. Several chops, followed by a knee, bring Lumis to the canvas.

The Usos punish Angelo. But he manages to escape and take over from Owens, who enters with everything. The Canadian knocks Jey down and hits Jimmy. Kevin tries to take over from Montez, but Montez seems very distracted following what happened with his wife. The heels take advantage of it to turn the situation around and punish Kevin in his corner.

The fight begins before the referee even rings the bell. Jimmy Uso and Angelo Dawkins start the match. The face manages to take the lead and, together with his partner, they punish the Samoan. Jey manages to hit Dawkins from his cornerback position, allowing his team to turn the tables.

The public asks for “one more”, but Bliss leaves while several officials attend to the champion.

Back in the ring, Alexa tries to submit her rival with a headlock. Bianca tries to escape from her, but Bliss knocks her down once more. Belair prepares to execute the KOD, but Alexa escapes danger. Bliss takes refuge in the corner. Bianca goes up to the second rope and unleashes a series of punches on Alexa. She escapes from her rival once more by pulling her by her hair. Both arrive at ringside. Alexa is in control, but something catches her eye: A fan wearing a Bray Wyatt mask.

Alexa recovers once more, managing to expel her rival from the ring. He then lunges at her with a rolling senton.

Alexa punishes her rival with the help of the ropes before the champion recovers and tries to execute a vertical suplex. But Alexa escapes the attack and catches her rival’s hair to throw her hard on the canvas. Bliss begins to dominate the fight, first in the corner and then in the center of the ring. A knee to her face, followed by a dropkick put the contestant in a good situation, but Bianca recovers, executing a suplex. Three consecutive slams further deplete Bliss.

We start with The Bloodline attacking WWE personnel and forcibly taking over the commentators table, which they soon overturn. Sami Zayn and The Usos take the floor when Kevin Owens makes his entrance. Zayn points out that they have hijacked the show because of him. Owens decides that he is going to smash his face in. As he heads to the ring, Adam Pearce decides to stop him, assuring that he will not let the program get out of his control. The WWE official sends security to the ring to escort the men out, but Sikoa and company dispose of them.
