It looks like the contract has been signed and sealed because WWE has begun teasing Cody Rhodes’ return.
During The Miz’s promo when he talked regarding his tag team partner, he referred to him as “Dashing” and seemingly teased that Cody Rhodes was going to be his partner. Rhodes was referred to as “Dashing” Cody Rhodes for a short time during his first run with WWE. Miz eventually revealed that it was not Cody but Logan Paul that would be his tag team partner at WrestleMania. The “DASHING” reference was also included in a tweet on WWE’s official Twitter account.
Later during Edge’s segment, the WWE Twitter account made a reference to “smoke and mirrors,” which was also the name of Cody’s old WWE theme song.
It’s pretty clear now that he is signed because WWE would not tease Cody Rhodes if he wasn’t coming in. Furthermore, PWInsider reported that Rhodes was in Orlando over the weekend and he was scheduled to work out at the Performance Center. There is no word on when he will actually debut and who he will be facing at WrestleMania 38.
