Viktorija Golubic (WTA 55) has made it to the last four of the WTA 250 tournament in Nottingham. The Swiss beat the Australian Ajla Tomljanovic (WTA 45) 6-2 7-6 (8/6).
The Zurich player will play her first semi-final of the year on British grass. Facing a higher-ranked opponent and seeded No. 5 in the tournament, Viktorija Golubic lost her serve quickly in both sets, but she reacted perfectly followingwards.
After 1h32, she concluded the match and now remains on 3 successes without having dropped a single set. The next opponent of the Zurich will be the American Alison Riske (WTA 40) on Saturday. This will be their third matchup, and each has won one so far.
