Everyone knows these quotes from Paździoch from Kiepski
Most of us know Ryszard Kotys from the role of Marian Paździoch in “Świat According to Kiepskich”. Fans of the cult series still recall many of his quotes that have become iconic. On the kiepscy.org forum, you might vote for your favorite Paździoch text. In first place is located famous “Helena, I’m having a heart attack”. This is the most popular text that Ferdek’s neighbor often said in episodes.

Anniversary of Ryszard Kotys’ death
Ryszard Kotys was born March 20, 1932 in Mniów. He was a Polish film, television, theater and dubbing actor, but also a director and screenwriter.
In 1953 he graduated State Higher School of Acting in Krakowand made his debut on the stage Theater Stefan Żeromski in Kielce. Over the next few years, he appeared in:
- Wybrzeże Theatre in Gdansk;
- Polish Theater in Wroclaw;
- People’s Theatre in Cracow;
- Theater of the Krakow Land in Tarnów;
- Dramatic Theater named following Aleksandra Węgierki in Bialystok;
- Theater Jan Kochanowski in Opole;
- Theater Stefan Jaracz in the boat.
Within 65 lat career he played in over 40 series i 150 feature filmsh. He gained popularity thanks to the role of Marian Paździoch in the series “Świat According to Kiepskich”. He played it through 21 lat. Interestingly, he was also one of the candidates for the role of the main character.
Due to his advanced age and deteriorating health, Ryszard Kotys withdrew from performing in theater and films. However, he continued to appear in “Świat According to Kiepskich” until until 2021. He died January 27, 2021 in Poznań. September 5, 2022 in Mniów A commemorative plaque and a mural were unveiled to commemorate the actor.
