In partnership with the Grand Est Region, the SOFILM genre residencies aim to encourage the writing and production of short genre cinema films in the broadest sense: science fiction, fantasy, horror, superheroes, thrillers and thrillers. .

SEND YOUR SHORT FILM SCENARIO before April 10, 2023.
Whether you are a filmmaker, screenwriter or writer, whether you already have a producer or not, all you have to do to participate in the residencies is to submit your short film projects to us, lasting between 10 and 20 minutes, corresponding to one of the proposed themes. .
PROJECTS SUPPORTED BY SCREENPLAYERS, ILLUSTRATORS AND VFX SUPERVISORS
The residences take place at the Residence Center from Writing to Image in Saint Quirin. In parallel with support from screenwriters, authors will be offered the opportunity to work on the visual and musical universe of their project in collaboration with storyboarders, special effects experts and experienced composers. The selected scenarios will be read in music and images by actors during the Strasbourg European Fantastic Film Festival, mid-September 2023.
A MEETING AND DISCUSSIONS WITH CANAL +
AND SUPPORT FOR PRODUCTION BY THE GRAND EST REGION.
Projects are supported by Canal+’s Short Programs team throughout the writing process. A project will benefit from a production aid from the Grand Est Region of 30,000 euros awarded during the reading at the Strasbourg European Fantastic Film Festival.

NB: The file must be as a single PDF, and must be in the French version. Any incomplete file will be refused. All submissions are final.
