The wrestling federation is facing stars including Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Pooni who took to the streets once morest Brij Bhushan. The move came following Sanjay Singh and his team came out publicly once morest the adhoc committee and the sports ministry, and a group of junior wrestlers took to the streets in their favour. The people who took to the streets alleged that there has been stagnation in wrestling in the country for a year, no trials or championships are being held and all this is due to Sakshi, Baj Rang and Vinesh.
They have warned that the Arjuna award will be returned if the committee chaired by Sanjay Singh is not reinstated within 10 days. Following the protest, the ad hoc committee announced that the national championships for the under-15 and under-20 categories would be organized in Gwalior in six weeks. In Delhi, the witness said that Brij Bhushan was behind the Jantarmantar protests and continued to threaten him and wanted security.
