What was that commotion? At 9.45 p.m., only 317 minutes following Max Verstappen had crossed the finish line first at the Austrian Grand Prix and had achieved his seventh win of the season quite confidently, the result of the ninth race of the Formula 1 season became official. The reason for this was that the race organizers had to check no fewer than 1,200 situations in which drivers allegedly completely exceeded the track boundaries with their cars. There wasn’t enough time during the race for that. Ultimately, 130 violations of the so-called track limit were punished, which of course also had an impact on the result.
