Starting today, players nostalgic for World of Warcraft can once again roam the lands of Northrend specific to the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. An adventure that will see them climb to level 80, a level already reached this morning by a professional player.

Since its release in 2004, the massively multiplayer online role-playing game World of Warcraft offers an unimaginable amount of challenges for all players traveling the world of Azeroth and beyond. Among these sometimes really tough challenges, some race when content is released to find out who will be able to do it first or simply who will level up the fastest. For example, when Shadowlands was released, which is the last expansion of the title, it was the player Monkeylool who had reached level 60 in barely 3 hours of play.
Today is the Classic version of the extension Wrath of the Lich King which has been deployed to the servers. Enough to relive the same experience as in 2007 in a faithful way : first talent trees, the arrival of the class Death Knight and of course redo the raids of the time like the iconic ones Ulduar with Yogg Saron or Icecrown Citadel with the Lich King.
Of course, this content is also conducive to the race of the World’s First (to be translated as the first in the world). The race got off to a flying start tonight to end around 8:45 a.m.. This is Naowh, guild player Echowho achieved this feat despite the long queue he had to do after a disconnection.

It’s with a specialized paladin Protection that the Echo player has achieved such a feat. The specialization devoted to taking damage, allowed him to have the attention of many monsters which he eliminated in batches. He redid the dungeon of Utgard in a loop, accompanied by several level 1s: he then benefits from an experience bonus linked to the group while the other characters died so as not to “steal” this experience. Of course, this feat is not trivial and it took the player several weeks of work to optimize his route, his inventory and the monsters to kill to go so fast. Nevertheless, this is obviously a first for Naowh. Player of the Echo guild, he is used to sprinting on the content that comes out.
