Another observation that abounds in this direction is the sending by Blizzard of polls around Wrath of the Lich King. He measured the desire of players for a version Classic of this extension: an initiative already used before, and in particular for The Burning Crusade Classic.

And yesterday, Blizzard repeats the operation by sending new polls regarding a potential release of Wrath of the Lich King: Classic. And here, it is not a question of evaluating the enthusiasm of the players but of knowing how much they are ready to put in micro-transactions. In the program ? Two options, not final, including experience boosts for characters, mounts for WoW Classic or WoW Retail (the latest version of WoW) as well as game time.

And inevitably, the initiative is debated and in particular on a single point: that of the experience boost. For some, offering them for purchase does not respect the essence of the experience offered by Classic. At the time, it was impossible to instantly level up to level 68: you have to level up the hard way, by completing quests, dungeons, and where helping other players is necessary to progress. The others think it’s a good thing: being able to directly be level 68 allows them to directly benefit from the expansion, considered one of the best releases to date.
In any case, we will have to wait to see if such offers will be offered by Blizzard. Wrath of the Lich King: Classic has yet to be made official by Blizzard, and an announcement next week will arrive on World of Warcraft’s ninth and next expansion. So wait and see.
