World of Warcraft is no longer very young, and over the years, some rather strange objects have been forgotten to then be rediscovered by players surprised to see statistics that do not really fit into the norm.
This is the case of this player who shared his find on Reddit when an object from his bank might surprise more than one.
A dagger with negative stats in a player’s chest?
A little surprise for the player u/SpearLT300 who explains that he was tidying up his bank on World of Warcraft when he came across an old item that does not increase your statistics, but lowers them.
Indeed, the dagger displays a poor 1-2 damage, and even lowers your critical rate by one point.
While some players expressed surprise in the comments, many reasons plausible enough have been given by players on this heroic item.
Why does such an item exist?
An object with such “bonus” doesn’t really make sense, and yet an explanation seems to have been found by fans. Indeed, according to some players, it is everything to normal fact to find such old items with crazy stats.
The reason is simple: these old objects, looted at the time, have since suffered a “stat squish” the operation carried out by Blizzard to lower the numbers. Often accompanied a drop in level, the numbers get much smaller, and some special, and very old, items get broken.
No big surprise then, these situations can occur with many items, including some from the era Vanilla.
Nevertheless, they remain interesting objects for the collection, and who knows, if you have too much crit rate…
