Léon and Louise are 17 and fall madly in love, but the war forces them to part. Léon marries, becomes a father. Louise starts working at a bank. They live separate lives, but they can’t really forget each other. She thinks about him every day and he thinks about her every day. Until they meet again by chance in the Paris Métro, through the window pane. Léon manages to find Louise, love reignites and they sleep together.
