According to the British Daily Mail on the 15th (local time), the creator platform Fanvue is recruiting participants for the world’s first AI beauty contest, the ‘World AI Creator Award’, in May. After narrowing down 10 candidates in the preliminary round at the end of this month, a total of three winners will be selected in the finals scheduled for May. Miss AI, who takes first place, will receive a total prize of $13,000 (regarding 18 million won). Second and third places are worth $5,000 (regarding 7 million won) and $2,000 (regarding 3 million won), respectively. There are three criteria for judging: beauty, technology, and social media influence. ‘Beauty’ looks at how balanced the generated AI image is and whether it meets the standards of ‘beauty’.

However, there is a limitation that the beauty dolls selected by country are not consistent. Not only in the East and the West, but also within the East, the standards for beauty differ from country to country. For example, in Korea, people prefer harmonious eye and nose shapes that match their faces, while in China, they prefer distinct features and doll-like looks like Fan Bingbing and Angelababy. In Thailand, western and cool looks are popular. Additionally, in general, Korea prefers an elegant and innocent image, while China prefers a clear image with big eyes. On the other hand, Thailand tends to prefer a flashy appearance. In fact, the aesthetic tastes of each country are clearly visible in overseas patients who visit our country for plastic surgery. According to an analysis of data from large domestic plastic surgery hospitals, the most frequently operated areas for Koreans and Chinese were eyes, nose, and fat grafting, while for Thais, it was eyes and facial contouring. Korea, China, and Thailand all had the highest number of eye surgeries, but their preferred styles were different. In our country, we prefer harmonious eye and nose shapes that go well with the overall face of Zain, rather than big eyes and a high nose. While Chinese people prefer doll-like round eyes, Thai people often pursue dark and deep eyes.
