Worldcoin, the biometric ID and wallet project, is changing the Orb, a device used to scan the iris of users who want to verify their identity. Alex Blania, CEO of Tools for Humanity, said that Orb’s current design was agreed upon before he arrived at the company nearly four years ago.
Blania hopes to make the device more attractive with a software update. He also admitted that the current design is very divisive, with some loving it and others hating it for its sci-fi look.

Although no exact date has been announced for the unveiling of the improved Orb, Blania has stated that the already tested version will be unveiled in the first half of 2024.
