Vatican City: Pope Francis has called on the people of war to pay their respects to the Blessed Virgin Mary and to continue to offer daily prayers for world peace. At the conclusion of the last day’s prayer, Regina Chely offered her prayers for world peace again in the presence of the Blessed Mother.
The pope reiterated his call for world peace, reminding us that we can pray for peace that can never be achieved with arms. ‘Spiritually kneeling before the Blessed Virgin, I entrust her with a deep desire for the peace of many people who are suffering the effects of war in various parts of the world.’
In the context of the celebration of the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Bartholomew at the Church of the Rosary in Pompeii, Italy, the Pope once again sought the intercession of the Mother of God for world peace. ‘I submit to the Holy Virgin the sufferings and tears of the Ukrainian people in particular. We must all continue to pray the rosary every day to free the world from the grip of war madness and bring peace. ‘
The pope also reminded the people to pray that the leaders of the nation, who want peace and know that weapons will never bring peace, should not go unnoticed. During the month of Lent, the pope called for daily prayers for world peace, especially for the Ukrainian people. It is in this context that the Pope reminded us that the daily rosary should continue.
