{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

With this our live has come to an end. Thank you for being with us!

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Sensational results of the women’s short.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Wow, Kaori Sakamoto is giving her rivals a chance! The Japanese woman had to save her lutz, and the flip-toe loop cascade was not the most confident. Only 73.29, wow…

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Luna Hendricks arrived in Montreal with a serious attitude. Kovalev’s keen eye spotted an under-rotation on the lutz, but the judges don’t think so and give her a career record of 76.98.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Isabeau Levito failed the Grand Prix final, and sensationally lost to Amber Glenn at the US Championships. For the World Championships, the skater and her coach changed the short version, now it’s Ennio Morricone. And… everything worked out today, 73.73!

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

And Korean women are on fire today! Following Yoo Young and Hae In, Lee confidently skated Kim Chae Young. Artem Kovalev noticed a small flaw in the sheepskin coat, and it seems that the judges found it too – 66.91.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Anastasia Gubanova walked very well, made a triple Lutz and snipe. But in the second half of the program, the skater did a flip and… that’s it, there was no second jump… Only 58.66.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Great start to the final warm-up, this is He Ying Lee! The Korean arrived in Montreal in fantastic shape, but few believed that she would defend her silver from last year. The arbitrators’ verdict was 73.55.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Position before the final warm-up.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Hana Yoshida has a very stylish program, but today with a step-out on the cascade. 64.56 – intermediate third line.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Nina Pinzarrone had to compete for her jumps, today with under-rotations. For the rental, the bronze medalist of the European Championship received 64.04 points.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Ekaterina Kurakova, who competes for Poland, performed her program in one breath and landed everything. 62.34 – “sizn best”.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

The best figure skater of Canada, Madeleine Skizas, might not support the mood of the Stellato-Dudek/Deschamps pair – not the best skate and an intermediate ninth place.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Monet Chiba skated to the French version of the romance “Black Eyes,” and at first she went very well. But the Lutz didn’t work out, eh.

Only 62.64 today.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Nina Petrykina planned 3-2, but the exit didn’t quite work out. There are no questions regarding the remaining elements. “You’re my good girl,” the coach says to the skater. And the judges give it 66.23.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Position following four warm-ups.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Last year’s Euro bronze medalist Kimmy Repond fell from the lutz today – no underrotation, just a leg flew out.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Amber Glenn fell off the loop and didn’t do enough work in her combination… This wasn’t the kind of performance that was expected from the US champion. Only 64.53.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Yu Yeon gave one of the best performances in recent years! We don’t know if we will see a triple axel from the Korean once more, but today’s performance was very confident. 67.37 – “sizn best”.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Yulia Sauter and Sofia Stepchenko skated with gross errors. The fourth warm-up is not encouraging yet.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Lauryn Schild mightn’t cope with the starting cascade, alas. The French woman doesn’t even reach sixty.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Three warm-ups are over.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Sarina Joos made a great debut at the World Cup, the Italian did everything visually, but the judges cut her technique during the review. And she skated to the iconic “In Memory of Caruso”, the figure skater received 59.39.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Livia Kaiser coped with her performance, the Swiss did everything, and also non-jumping to the 4th level. Let us remember that at the European Championships she was one step away from a medal. And today it is 64.05.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Josephine Tallegard showed not the most difficult content (there was a 3-2 cascade), but everything was clean and with what emotions! Tops the protocol – 61.55.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Alexandra Feigin made a cascade of sheepskin coats 3-3 and a triple rhythm, but in the second she made a mistake on the snipe. The judges give a total of 53.33.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Two warm-ups are over.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Maria Senyuk was born and raised in Moscow, and now skates for Israel. Not everything worked out, unfortunately.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Nella Pelkonen did only 3-2 instead of the planned 3-3 cascade, and also dropped her body on the Lutz… Nevertheless, the leader is still the leader – 56.82.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Kristina Isaev was born in Germany, lived in Russia for some time, then left once more for her homeland. Today I started confidently, but in the second half I had a butterfly on the axel, which was a shame. The result is 50.07.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Eliska Brzezinova performed all the jumping elements in the red zone, alas. So far the second one is 50.9.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

The first warm-up is over.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Muscovite Anastasia Gracheva has recently been skating for Moldova. Today there were some mistakes on the landings, the judges gave it 46.12.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

And here is the first more or less clean release, this is Mia Risa Gomez. Yes, a cascade of sheepskin coats, but it’s clean. 55.09 is a career high.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Vanesa Shelmekova also fell, it’s a pity. But respect for trying a triple lutz-triple toe loop cascade (it turned out to be under-rotated), which was completely unexpected for the first warm-up. It’s 48.94.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Meda Varyakoite started with a good Salchow, but then fell off her sheepskin coat and was left without a cascade. And she finished the jumping part with a step-out on a snipe. 40.04 – the beginning has been made.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Well, let’s start a five-hour marathon! The first warm-up is already on the ice.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

We’ll tell you how the couples’ short program went.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Deanna Stellato-Dudek and Maxime Deschamps won the short program.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Sara Conti and Niccolo Macchii failed at the European Championships, but today they are very good – 72.88. Beautiful tango and intermediate third place.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Deanna Stellato-Dudek and Maxime Deschamps confirm their status as the main favorites – 77.48 (“sizn best”). Everything is clean, harmonious, powerful, and the advantages are simply huge.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

The current world champions Riku Miura and Ryuichi Kihara did not skate perfectly, but the judges forgave almost everything – in the end, 73.53, they became leaders.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Annika Hocke and Robert Kunkel skated for the best result of the season – 67.64. At the end we messed up the rotation a little.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

There’s only one warm-up left.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Americans Valentina Plazas and Maximiliano Fernandez skated to Sergei Rachmaninov. Alas, the partner fell from the parallel sheepskin coat.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Maria Pavlova from Moscow, Alexey Svyatchenko from St. Petersburg. And they skate for Hungary – alas, not the most reputable country in figure skating; at the start of the season they were assessed, to put it mildly, cautiously. But today it is “sizn best” – 68.01.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

European champions Lucrezia Beccari and Matteo Guarise are not perfect today, they have lost many levels. The result is 66.12.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

There are two warm-ups left.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

The Australian couple Anastasia Golubeva (Muscovite) and Hector Giotopoulos Moore were unable to skate without errors – the twist and parallel sheepskin loop were canceled out – in the end 63.35.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Well, what a beauty! This is Minerva Fabien Haze and St. Petersburg resident Nikita Volodin. A very confident performance, the judges give it 72.1 – first for now.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Muscovite Daria Danilova skates for the Netherlands with Michel Ziba. Her partner let her down and fell from the Salchow. But it might have been the best performance of my career.

59.07 – “sizn best”.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Three warm-ups are over.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

The owners of the ice, Kelly-Ann Laurin and Lucas Ethier, did all the elements to the deafening cheers of the stands. A lot worked out, but the ejection-rhytht had to be saved. The judge’s verdict is 60.18.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

The first American couple today is Ellie Kam and Danny O’Shea. Even with the fall, they beat the Chinese, but Metelkina/Berulava is far away – 65.44.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Anastasia Metelkina and Luka Berulava gave an almost perfect performance! Only at the final stage did they falter a little. And so, everything was great, the skaters were enjoying themselves on the ice.

72.02 – “sizn best”!

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Anastasia Vaypan-Lo and Luke Digby did not skate very confidently; Denis Khodykin noted only an outlier: “all other elements were nervous in the bad sense of the word.” This is 54.69 points.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

The first warm-up is over, we are pouring ice.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Cheng Peng and Lei Wang started with a step-out on the sheepskin coat (from their partner) and a blunder on the twist. But the throw, todes, spins and lifts – wow. 59.5 – become leaders.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Milania Vaananen and Filippo Clerici skated without any major mistakes, but lost to the Zagreb team by more than five points, so participation in the free program is not yet guaranteed – 55.4.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Former Russian figure skater Alexander Korovin now skates with Isabella Gamez for the Philippines. The ex-Russian’s partner let him down and fell from the Salchow. The rotation was also done inconsistently.

Only 49.7 points.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Position following the first warm-up.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Ukrainians Sofia Kholichenko and Artem Darensky lead the intermediate protocol – 59.34. Not all elements achieved the maximum level, but the parallel salchow and throw-ritt were good. Loud applause comes from the stands.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Yulia Shchetinina was born in Nizhny Novgorod, skated for Switzerland, Hungary, and now defends the colors of Poland – together with Michal Wozniak. The throw didn’t work out very well, but good execution of other elements allowed them to break their personal best of the season – 56.24.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

The World Cup was opened by the Czechs Federica Simioli and Alessandro Zarbo. We started with a triple twist of the 4th level, then the partner stood on the throw-ritt. But the second half did not work out for the couple, alas.

46.84 — beginning laid.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Go!

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

After the doubles, the singles will take to the ice. Here Kaori Sakamoto is considered the favorite, who can surpass Evgenia Medvedeva in the number of gold medals. And the Japanese woman can become the first figure skater in the 21st century to win three championship titles in a row. Perhaps ex-Russian Anastasia Gubanova, now representing Georgia, will prevent her from doing this.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

The tournament will begin with a short pairs program, where several former Russian athletes will perform. The Canadians Stellato-Dudek/Deschamps are considered the favorites, but one of our exes will definitely get at least one medal.

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Four years ago the World Championships were supposed to be held in Montreal. That tournament promised to be an absolute triumph for the Russian team, because at the continental championship our skaters won ten out of twelve medals, including all possible gold ones. But a pandemic happened and the World Cup was postponed.

In 2024, the world forum finally reached Montreal, but Russia will no longer be there…

{{hourTwoDigit}}:{{minuteTwoDigit}}

Hi all! The international season is coming to an end and the world championship medals will be awarded over the next four days in Montreal. And we will monitor all this, stay with us!
