A Declaration that emerged as a symbol of unity, peace and democracy, while the idea of cooperation – between nations – to build a common future, is an example that inspires even today.

Europe, beyond borders and states, represents the idea of unity.
From North to South, from East to West, it reflects a multidimensional force, composing a mosaic of cultures, languages and histories that create a distinct landscape.
World Europe Day, celebrated today, is here to remind us of the importance of democracy, human rights and freedom – values that we defend and must defend every day.
And our country, Greece, plays an important role of its own in Europe of development, prospects, social achievements and progress.
This year’s celebration coincides with another “celebration” of Europe, that of the 2024 European elections.
A celebration of democracy and free will, which invites us to become participants, shaping the European political scene and choosing the people we wish to represent us in the European Parliament.
The active participation of everyone in the upcoming European elections is decisive for the formation of a strong and sustainable Europe that represents the interests of all its citizens. Let’s not forget, following all, that the decisions taken at the European level affect and shape the national course of our country.
The major European challenges and Greece’s role in them require responsibility, seriousness and strong negotiation skills. At the same time, they require reliability and stability for the European perspective of our country.
The preservation of European democracy and the strengthening of Greece in becoming a European, require the active participation of all of us, in a process in which no one is left out.
Our participation, cooperation and vote are also our strength for a fair, united Europe and for a Greece with a strong voice in the European Parliament.
