World Cup – The final table: The France team and Australia await their opponents in the round of 16

A purge but a first place all the same. This Wednesday, the France team, mainly made up of substitutes, did not do much to achieve the full card and lost to Tunisia (1-0). A defeat which however did not deprive her of first place in group D. In the other match, it was Australia who scored a perfect shotby dominating Denmark (1-0), thus opening wide the doors of the 8th finals.

Both teams are now waiting to know their respective opponents. One certainty: they are all in Pool C, made up of Poland, Argentina, Saudi Arabia and Mexico. As things stand, these four teams can still hope to qualify. The Blues know, however, that they will play their round of 16 this Sunday at 4 p.m. against the second in this pool. They are also in the table part of England and Senegal in view of a mouth-watering quarter. Australia will play Saturday at 8 p.m. against the leader. HAS
