World Cup “Qatar 2022”: Cameroon dropped Brazil on the farewell night

Cameroon’s national team achieves a historic victory over Brazil, and is excluded from the World Cup, “Qatar 2022”.

Cameroon defeated Brazil, 1-0, today, Friday, in the third and final round of the group stage in the World Cup, “Qatar 2022”.

Despite the victory, the “Teranga Lions” team left the World Cup competitions, following reaching third place with 4 points.

In the course of the match, Brazilian coach Tite entered the reserve squad to rest the key players for the next match in the round of 16, while the Cameroonian national team searched for a historic victory in the World Cup.

The goalless tie continued throughout the original time of the first and second halves, and the match’s only goal came in the third minute of stoppage time, with a wonderful header from inside the penalty area, through Vincent Abu Bakr.

The referee of the match, Ismail Al-Fateh, expelled Cameroonian striker Abu Bakr, following celebrating the goal by taking off his shirt, and he had a yellow card in his balance, to get the second, then the red card.

Thus, the Brazilian national team qualified, leading Group G with 6 points, followed by the Swiss national team with the same number of points, following it beat Serbia, while the Cameroon national team came in third place with 4 points, and Serbia was bottom of the standings with one point.
