World Cup: Airports will be busy from today Madhyamam

Dubai: With the start of the FIFA World Cup on Sunday, airports in the UAE, including Dubai, will be crowded. Sports fans from various countries have arrived in the UAE at present. There will be a huge rush as both Qatari-bound and ordinary travelers arrive at the airports. Emirates Airline has asked passengers to arrive three hours early in this situation. It has also been suggested to use various online services to complete the check-in.

In the UAE, there is a four-day holiday as part of the National Day, and there is a possibility that the traffic will increase once more next week. Passengers will increase, including those going home to take advantage of holidays. Along with this, the arrival of December, which is generally the busiest season of the year, will increase the number of passengers.

At the same time, the majority of shuttle services to Qatar for the World Cup will depart from Dubai World Central Airport to help reduce congestion at Dubai Airport. 120 shuttle services will be operated daily from Central to Doha and back. Fly Dubai and Qatar Airways have announced the shuttle service. Unlike other services, the fare for the shuttle service is low. However, tickets must be purchased in this service within 24 hours of arriving in Qatar and watching the match. In addition to the shuttle service, there are also plans to operate chartered flights. With this, the traffic at World Central will also triple. Around 60 check-in counters and 21 boarding gates have been prepared here. There are 60 passport control counters and 10 smart gates.

There are special services for the World Cup from Abu Dhabi and Sharjah airports. It is expected that the traffic will increase in these places as well. Experts say that in this situation, those traveling by air will face difficulties if they do not arrive at least three hours before.
