The Netherlands national team defeated Senegal, 2-0, today, Monday, in the first round of the group stage of the World Cup, “Qatar 2022”.
The two teams exchanged possession and opportunities in the first half, and the most dangerous attempt was from Senegalese player Ismaila Sarr, who hit a ball that was blocked by the Dutch defense.
Despite the efforts of the two teams, the result remained the same, with the first session ending in a goalless draw (0-0).
In the second half, the scenario of exchanging opportunities continued, and the Senegalese team was close to opening the scoring on more than one occasion, but the skill of the Dutch goalkeeper, Andres Nobert, stood in the way of the African team’s attempts.
