Asunción, IP Agency.- The work for the construction of the new regional headquarters of the Paraguayan Indigenous Institute (INDI) is progressing very quickly in the town of Yhú, department of Caaguazú, which allows us to predict that in a short time the first stages of the work will be completed.
The future headquarters will represent a significant advance in INDI’s mission to ensure the rights of indigenous peoples and facilitate access to essential services.
On a visit made by the president of the INDI, Juan Ramón Benegas, to the city of Yhú, accompanied by the local Mayor, Arturo Jara, they approached the construction site where the future headquarters of the regional will be located.
On the occasion they observed the work being carried out on the property donated by the municipality of Yhú, where the inter-institutional commitment to indigenous communities was highlighted.
«This gesture by you and the members of your Municipal Board is an example of true patriotism, by facilitating the INDI to install a regional headquarters in your city. This will allow us to be closer to the indigenous communities to which we are indebted, in order to provide our services with greater efficiency and speed,” Benegas highlighted.
Mayor Jara, for his part, expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration with INDI and reaffirmed his commitment to the community.
«I feel pleased and extremely committed; From this future regional headquarters we will be able to respond to the multiple needs of our indigenous brothers. I am sure that this is the spirit of the National Government, through the INDI, chaired by General Benegas, to bring public policies closer to this very needy sector of our society,” stated the communal chief.
INDI reaffirms its commitment to the defense and promotion of the rights of indigenous peoples, guaranteeing that each action and project focuses on the well-being of the communities it serves.
