An Austrian flight to New York recently had to turn back because five of eight toilets were defective. The airline is now presenting a customer-friendly solution: in future, functioning toilets can be booked for EUR 60 per passenger.

In the event of an emergency urination, you will also find a chamber pot under your seat, which is subject to a fee,” explains a flight attendant, gesturing down the toilet.
