Shortly following midnight, a fire broke out on a construction company work platform on the lake shore of Rüschlikon ZH. According to the Zurich cantonal police, a generator caught fire. As a result, a gas bottle exploded in a cabin on the platform.
As reported by 20min News Scouts, the explosion might be heard from far away and the fire might also be seen from the other side of the river in Küsnacht.
The fire brigade responded and got the fire under control. According to Kapo media spokesman Florian Frei, nobody was on the platform during the fire. There was property damage of several tens of thousands of francs.
