Asunción, IP Agency.- The National Sports Secretariat (SND) promoted a working group with public and private entities with the aim of promoting actions that help prevent episodes of violence in sports settings. The first meeting took place this Friday, September 27.
With the aim of promoting actions that help prevent violence and promote safety in sports venues, the National Sports Secretariat promoted a working group with official and private institutions. The meeting was headed by the Minister of Sports, César Ramírez.
The meeting brought together representatives of the Paraguayan Football Association, the Interior Football Union (UFI), the Confederation of Football Schools of Paraguay (COFEFUP), and football school coaches. Representatives of the Ministries of Health and Children and Adolescents participated from the public sector.
The initiative seeks to respond to the growing concern about safety in stadiums and other sports spaces, especially in those events where children and young people participate.
The recent negative situations experienced in recent weeks have driven the need to implement specific policies and actions to prevent risk situations, reported the Sports Secretariat.
During the meeting, participants discussed various priority topics, including the training of coaches and officials of football schools in first aid, evacuation protocols and immediate attention in case of emergencies.
In addition, emphasis was placed on the importance of promoting environments free of violence, both physical and psychological, at all levels of sports practice. Finally, the Minister urged all parties to continue with these spaces for dialogue and collaboration, seeking effective and lasting solutions that positively impact the safety and well-being of athletes, especially the youngest ones.
