Workers discover a woman’s body on the route to the Atlantic

The body of a woman was discovered this Friday, July 5, by a group of workers who were cutting weeds at kilometer 4 of the route to the Atlantic, reported the Volunteer Firefighters.
The discovery was made by workers who arrived at the end of a drain and saw a naked body lying there.
As they approached the scene, they confirmed that it was the body of a woman, so they alerted the Volunteer Firefighters.
Rescuers determined that the person was dead and had injuries to different parts of the body, mainly the legs and arms, so they notified the National Civil Police (PNC) and the Public Prosecutor’s Office (MP).
“At kilometer 4 of the highway to the Atlantic, volunteer firefighters found a woman of approximately 30 years old, completely naked and already dead, next to a storm drain outlet,” the rescuers detailed.
They added that the relevant authorities were notified, but “so far this woman has not been identified and has bruises on her legs, arms and abdomen.”
They added that the victim “was found and located by some workers who were clearing the ground and immediately notified the Volunteer Firefighters.
The MP has not yet revealed any details regarding the case.
According to the MP’s Women’s Observatory, 221 women have died violently throughout the country so far in 2024.
