More road safety and a better quality of life
St. Pölten (OTS) – The through road from Guntersdorf (Hollabrunn district) will be redesigned to make it safer for traffic from the intersection with the L 1066 state road (Kalladorfer Straße) to Kellergasse as part of the B 303 state road. Due to the necessary workflow, it is necessary to block the B 303 for a period of around four months, and a diversion will be set up. The work is being carried out by the Hollabrunn road maintenance department and construction companies from the region. Completion is expected by the end of September. The remaining work will then be carried out until October.
Over a total length of around 350 meters, the road surface will be renewed, deep renovations carried out and finally a new road surface applied at a cost of 625,000 euros (rural area 120,000 euros, market town 505,000 euros). The roadway of the B 303 will be six meters wide. In order to achieve a reduction in driving speed when entering the town and also to better connect the new operating area in the future, a four-beam roundregarding with an outer diameter of 26 meters will be built at the junction of Guntersdorfer Kellergasse and the B 303. Furthermore, on the east side of the B 303, a combined footpath and cycle path around three meters wide will be laid out. The green space design and the new trees give the place a harmonious and natural look.
