Work is being carried out on a new transmission line in Hernandarias

Asuncion, IP.- Technical officials from the National Electricity Administration (ANDE) are commissioning the electromechanical equipment of the 66 KV yard, as well as the control system of the Hernandarias Industrial Park Station for the output of a new transmission line, which will connect it with the Substation.

The works being carried out by the institution’s technical staff consist of measurements of the switches and disconnectors of the 66 KV yard for the connection of the new transmission line that will reach the Hernandarias substation, as well as the commissioning of the entire protection and control system for the positions of the 66 KV yard; in addition, the necessary adjustments are being made in parallel to the substation, in order to improve the electrical service in the areas of influence.

On the other hand, work continues at the Hernandarias Industrial Park Station, which relates to automation and control (Scada), remote control of the maneuvering equipment and the communication system linking the Transformer Station (ES) and the National Load Dispatch, as well as with the Eastern Regional Operations Center, in charge of the Telematics Directorate.

For the opening of the new 66 KV line that will connect the Hernandarias Industrial Park Station with the Hernandarias Substation, the energization of the 66 KV bar in the former is planned. The construction work on the 17-kilometer section of the line is also in the final stage.

Currently, the Hernandarias Industrial Park Station is a branch of one of the Transmission Lines that leaves the Itaipú Hydroelectric Power Plant and arrives at Itakyry-Carayaó and supplies a 41.67 MVA 220/23 KV power transformer and a 75 MVA 220/66 KV transformer bank. Upon completion of the work, the sectioning of said line with an input position and an output position is planned.
